The Alexander Society for Special Needs runs arts-based educational programs for Special Needs children and teens. Drama, story-telling, music, movement, and art are combined in exciting ways to promote the cognitive, social, physical, and emotional growth of the participants. The society nurtures inclusive community through workshops in Creative Play, and through sponsoring Cultural Activities that explore alternative ways of living in community with people of all ages and abilities. |

Details |
Educational programs run by facilitators and volunteers provide one-on-one support for children. Workshops are provided to people interested in setting up similar programs and a workbook is being developed that will contain all the activities for five of the stories/dramas that have been used in programs. |

Programs can be arranged for children and youth from 3-20. Siblings and friends welcome. Also workshops and inservices for professionals, families and community groups.
