           Description
  The Disabled Consumers Society of Colchester (DCSC) is an advocacy organization working to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities. The group operates ABLE TRANSIT, an accessible bus service for any individual that cannot use the public transportation system. DCSC also cost shares with the purchase of technical aids when finances permit. The membership fee includes access to outings and bi-yearly suppers.

                  Details Services include the operation of Able Transit, a service consisting of one 12-passenger bus equipped with three places for forward facing wheelchairs. Persons with disabilities in Colchester County can access the bus by applying through the DCSC office (902 895-2110.

                  Details Membership required: to become a member of DCSC you will need to attend 4 regular meetings and to be voted in by the Board; any person who is unable to use public transportation; able-bodied participants welcome.
